The 8^th Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference Mariehamn Finland September 7-8 1999

The 8^th Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference in Mariehamn, Finland, September 7-8 1999 called on the governments to reduce all kind of emission in the Baltic Sea and in the countries around it. The conference also paid attention to cooperation in the energy market. Stress was laid on assisting the EU applicant countries in harmonising their policies with EU policy. The contacts between employers and employees should be enhanced to improve welfare and living conditions.
