BSPC Rapporteur on Sea-Dumped Munitions

The BSPC Rapporteur on Sea-Dumped Munitions, Ms Anna Kassautzki (German Bundestag), follows intensively the developments in this field and the implementation of the recommendations of the 28th BSPC, 29th BSPC and 30th BSPC. She published the written report below in preparation for the 32nd BSPC in Berlin,

Report 2023 by the Rapporteur on Sea Dumped Munitions

In preparation for the 32 nd Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference on 27-29 August 2023, the BSPC’s Rapporteur on Sea Dumped Munitions, MP Anna Kassautzki, has issued her report, which deals with dumped munitions and unexploded ordnance in the Baltic Sea. This report builds on the intensive activities of the BSPC and progress in international cooperation in this field from last year. The report provides a general overview of the current situation, parliamentary and governmental activities, and existing challenges in dealing with the legacy, presentsnew developments and findings in technological and scientific terms, and provides insight into the current state of the situation. Following the 28 th , 29 th , 30 th and 31 st BSPC resolutionsand referring to the planned calls for action in the 32 nd BSPC resolution, conclusions are drawn on the state of implementation. Finally, the Rapporteur elaborates on proposals on how the Baltic Sea countries can efficiently use the existing knowledge and technology to solve the problem of sea-dumped munitions and unexploded ordnance in the Baltic Sea with various links to additional materials. Report 2021 by the Rapporteur on Sea Dumped Munitions

In preparation for the Digital 30 th Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference on 30 August 2021, the BSPC’s Rapporteur on Sea Dumped Munitions, MP Peter Stein, has issued his report, which deals with dumped munitions and unexploded ordnance in the Baltic Sea. This report builds on the interim report from last year. Interim Report 2020 by the Rapporteur on Sea Dumped Munitions The report provides a general overview of the current situation, parliamentary and governmental activities, and existing challenges in dealing with the legacy, present new developments and findings in technological and scientific terms, and provide insight into the current state of the art. Following the 28 th and 29 th BSPC resolutions, a conclusion is drawn on the state of implementation. Finally, the Rapporteur elaborates a proposal on how the existing knowledge and technology can be used efficiently by the Baltic Sea countries to solve the problem of sea-dumped munitions and unexploded ordnance in the Baltic Sea with a variety of links to additional materials. Interim Report 2020 by the Rapporteur on Sea Dumped Munitions

In preparation of the Digital 29 th Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference on 24 August 2020, the BSPC’s Rapporteur on Sea Dumped Munitions, MP Peter Stein, has issued an Interim Report which deals with the issue of dumped munitions and unexploded ordnance in the Baltic Sea. This Interim Report provides a general overview of the current situation and existing challenges in dealing with the legacy, presents a selection of ongoing research projects and results in broad outlines and provides an insight into the current state of the art. Following the 28 th BSPC resolution, a conclusion is drawn on the state of implementation and, finally, a proposal is drawn up on how the existing knowledge and technology can be used efficiently by the Baltic Sea countries to solve the problem of sea-dumped munitions and unexploded ordnance in the Baltic Sea with a variety of links to further materials.
