The 9^th Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference Malmö Sweden September 4-5 2000

The 9^th Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference in Malmö, Sweden , September 4-5 2000 called on the governments to strengthen cooperation in the fields of education, research and energy; and to facilitate the cross-border cooperation by consolidating Trans-European Network. On the agenda was also developing the relations with EU and enhancing the policies of Northern Dimension. On the humanitarian and environmental field the focus was on sustainable development, human rights and safety of sea routes.
