The Ministry of Foreign Affairs provided the following information:"Unfortunately, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is unable to find any means of providing the CBSS Task Force against Trafficking in Human Beings with financial support. But the Ministry would like to see the continuation of this body's authorisation as its activities appear to be in harmony with the Danish programme against human trafficking which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs supports, also financially, in Belarus, Moldova and the Ukraine. The programme includes preventive activities and support for victims of human trafficking; phase 1 of the programme was implemented in 2006-2008 while the second phase, now in effect, runs until 2011."Denmark, which is represented through the Department of Gender Equality, plays an active role in the work of the Task Force, with the focus on the interchange of experience and the performance of a number of specific activities. A well-attended seminar on combating human trafficking was held for diplomats and consular staff under the Council of the Baltic Sea States as early as November 2008.
