In memoriamJan WidbergSecretary General of the BSPC2007 – 2014We are deeply saddened to announce that Jan Widberg, our formerlong-standing Secretary General of the Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conferenceand Director of the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Office in Riga, Latvia,passed away yesterday evening after a courageous fight against serious illness.Jan Widberg was for many years the motor of the BSPC work.He has dedicated a long time of his life and work to the Baltic SeaParliamentary Cooperation and has contributed enormously to thehigh international reputation of the BSPC.He was highly appreciated in the whole Baltic Sea Region and beyondfor his always trustful and reliable cooperation.
