This is about recognizing that "I" is not alone with these experiences. The social level teaches to take responsibility for oneself and others.Powersharing:Slide-meterintroductiontimelinegoalsSlide 8:Power to Empowerment:Definition of empowermentEmpowerment is a resource-oriented process for self-empowerment of a systematically discriminated group to expand its own capacity for action. This happens in a protected learning space, which connects the cognitive and the emotional area methodically.Empowerment is not a hierarchical, paternalistic approach in which people are empowered from the outside, but self-determined, arbitrary process.Proposal for funding guidelines:Individuals and organizations that are promoted to carry out empowerment work come from the target group itself and have proven to have community referencesSlide-meterintroductiontimelinegoalsSlide 9:media workstudio work, video work, open youth workProjectsretreats and seminars,Consultation, cultural education, sports,Concerts, Battlewhat we offerSlide-meterintroductiontimelinegoalswhat we offerSlide 10:• Young people for mini-projects in schools, youth groups, youth centers etc.• Ten teenagers of color / postmigrant teens, young adults who are potentially affected by discrimination• Methods, interest in the topic, overcome discrimination experienceSlide-meterintroductiontimelinegoalswhat we offertarget groupSlide 11:EmpowermentThree guidelines of empowerment:Social work in the sense of empowerment must have freedom of action and design. Working with individuals requires individual strategies tailored to the situation. Social work in the sense of empowerment can therefore only work very limitedly with standard offers. It is the person itself who affected, determine and guide their own process.Social work should increasingly be active in a preventive manner in the sense of opening up options for action and reflection on an individual and structural level in the lifeworld of the individual.Particular importance is attached to "networking", the building of social contexts. This can relate to individuals and their environment, to families and their social contacts, but also to groups and advocacy groups.maxim & aimsSlide-meterintroductiontimelinegoalswhat we offertarget groupmaxim & aimsempowermentSlide 12:„Lebensweltorientierung“„Life-world-orientation“"Social justice is (...) the effort to set minimum standards for the self-formation of life for all, the accessibility to opportunities and the experience of recognition." Their goal is to empower the individual to make his life as complete as possible, to regain a sense of control over one's own life and to be able to classify it in the social context. The idea of empowerment thus implies the ability to criticize society and to develop one's own goals.
