29 BSPCYEARSBaltic Sea Parliamentary ConferenceFIRST SESSIONContribution of Wille ValveMr. Wille ValveMP ÅlandHonoured delegates,In challenging times, in times of crises it is more important than ever that we do not stop talkingwith each other. That our dialogue continues despite border restrictions.I must admit that I was a bit sceptical towards having a digital format for the Conference, butthe Drafting Committee Meeting that I had the privilige to attend last Thursday was not onlyworthwhile. It can serve as a model for other international organizations on how to conducte-meetings.In this year’s draft resolution, I would in particular like to stress the points of continuingcomprehensive and systemic efforts to strengthen the Baltic Sea cooperation and increase itsresilience in a changing world.Dear friends,in times of tension, mutual understanding of each others motives is more important than ever. Infostering mutual understanding, I believe our organization a very important role. So, dear friends, let us not stop talking with each other. We do need more action, but also more TALK!Thank you
