BSPC2025 Wikforss Speech

Åsa Wikforss, Professor of Philosophy at Stockholm University and member of the Swedish Academy, addresses delegates in Mariehamn during the final debate of the 34th Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference. In her intervention, she warned of the corrosive effects of disinformation and algorithm-driven fragmentation on democracy, recalling Hannah Arendt’s dictum that opinion is meaningless without facts.
